I’ve always been undecided as to what to make of ‘Islamophobia’ and whether critique of a religion can unprepossessingly manifest itself as a phobia, as threatening and as potent as xenophobia.
But, the difference (like all forms of hate and socialised phobias); is when the critique crosses the barrier into ignorant induced hate. Alas, it seems Harris (whether ignorant induced is debatable?) has allowed his critique blind his own sense of just; being critical of an aggressive global monotheistic religion has made the journey to a sobered cocktail of hate, not of the bloated religion, but the individuals unwillingly and unknowingly embroiled and born into it.
